Job summary

Pilot Flying J in Walton, KY is seeking a frontline cashier to manage a shift of one to two associates, process all cash, credit and debit transactions, and ensure accurate end-of-shift reports while upholding store policies and guest service standards.

This position offers a starting pay of $11.95 to $16.95 per hour with a flexible schedule, weekly pay, and benefits including a nationwide medical plan, dental/vision, a 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience in cash handling and processing cash, credit and debit transactions.
• Ability to lead a shift of 1–2 cashiers and assign breaks.
• Strong commitment to guest service and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one to two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to sale of restricted merchandise items.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
