The Guest Services Representative at Arlington Heights Park District is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all visitors and patrons, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience. This role involves assisting guests with inquiries, providing information about park facilities and events, and supporting the overall operations of the guest services department.The target hiring range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour depending on qualifications. Our part-time wages can be found here.Hours for the position can vary based on center and shift, but are within the timeframe of 8:30am – 5:00pm. Location may vary but will be discussed during the interview process.Essential Job Duties:Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.Provide detailed information about park facilities, programs, and events to visitors, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of available services.Handle guest inquiries and complaints efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.Assist with the registration and booking process for park programs and events, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.Maintain a clean and organized guest services area, ensuring all informational materials are up-to-date and readily available.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and a positive guest experience.Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues observed within the park facilities to the appropriate personnel.Support promotional activities and special events by providing logistical assistance and guest support as needed.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Required Experience:Previous experience in customer service or guest relations is preferred.Experience working in a recreational or park district setting is advantageous.Required Skills and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.Strong problem-solving abilities to address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to guest services.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.The Arlington Heights Park District commits itself to diversity, equity, and inclusion to create a mutually respectful, multicultural, and equitable environment.
