Base pay range
$15.00/hr - $15.00/hr
The Guest Services Receptionist: (a) screens/directs incoming phone calls to appropriate staff/departments, (b) greets and answers questions from clients, visitors and staff, (c) and completes daily and as-needed administrative tasks.
Schedule
- Saturday 7am - 2:30pm
- Sunday 7am - 1:30pm
- 1-2 Weekday Shifts 7am - 11:30am
- *evening shifts could be a possibility from 2:30pm - 8pm

Primary Responsibilities
- Screen and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff and departments, relaying verbal and written messages as needed.
- Greet everyone that enters the facility including visitors, vendors, families, and staff.
- Ensure safety by viewing camera monitors, watching for suspicious activity, responding to potentially dangerous situations (i.e. wandering program alert), and checking in on residents/tenants when appropriate.
- Ensure documentation is maintained to comply with applicable policies and regulations; assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies as appropriate; update daily communication sheets depending on location.
- Clean, organize and maintain the reception area.
- Assist with other clerical duties such as photocopying and maintaining copier, laminating, filing, running reports, and typing documents as needed.
Job Specifications
Education, Experience and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One or more years receptionist, customer service or administrative/office experience required, preferably in a long term care setting.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.
- Display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
- Possess effective problem solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, HRIS, and other applications. Must be skilled in database management and record keeping.
Physical Requirements Necessary To Perform This Job
- Incumbent must be able to:
- Perform light work, with occasional or negligible lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Effectively communicate, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization.
- Able to effectively use office equipment to review and create information.
- Work at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
- Frequently stand and walk to move around office/building repeatedly throughout the day.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights and weekends as required including attending events/meetings as needed.
- Able to obtain reliable transportation
