Job summary

The Institute for Human Services (IHS) in Honolulu, HI seeks a Guest Services Assistant (Food Safety Certified) to coordinate and provide timely meal service to guests in our housing and meal programs. You will work with volunteers, ensure welfare and safety, and help prep and serve meals following program guidelines.

Requirements include prior kitchen experience and basic computer skills, with shifts including early mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Keep shelter meal areas clean, organized, and safe; report hazards promptly.
• Store and rotate donated foods per USDA guidelines and manager directions.
• Set up workstations for the next meal service.
