Job summary

The Grandview by Erickson Senior Living in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Host/Hostess to welcome residents and guests, seat guests, and support servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining service.

You will manage front entrance, greet with warmth, hand menus, handle phone inquiries, and help maintain cleanliness. Flexible weekends/holidays required; prior restaurant/service experience preferred; lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen/service environment preferred
• Ability to safely lift or move with designated equipment, up to 25 pounds
• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dining front entrance and lobby.
• Greet residents and guests warmly and welcomingly upon their arrival.
• Provide the appropriate number of menus when escorting guests to their tables.
• Communicate effectively with guests, manage crowds, and ensure guests are comfortable while waiting for their table.
• Answer the phone professionally and follow up on requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the front of the house and kitchen.
• Assist in training the wait staff.
