Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra in Honolulu, HI, is seeking a friendly Cashier/Host to greet guests, seat tables, and maintain courteous service in the dining room.

You will handle cash and POS transactions, manage reservations, coordinate with the kitchen, and help ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and prior restaurant cash handling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Ability to operate POS procedures to pre-check orders and settle checks.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Handle cash and charge transactions and ring up chits.
• Coordinate ordering of Special Amenities with garde manger and delivery.
• Take and reconfirm reservations and inform Chef/kitchen of large or special reservations.
