Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking a Guest Services Staff member for the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus in Madison, WI. You will provide friendly, professional service to event attendees and help create positive experiences.

Key duties include welcoming guests, answering questions, guiding them to seating and facilities, assisting with setup, and supporting crowd management while maintaining safety and venue policies. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old; local regulations may vary.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or event roles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and be active for long periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist event attendees with their needs.
• Assist with event setup and signage.
• Monitor venues for cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Answer questions and provide information about the event.
• Direct guests to seating, restrooms, concessions, and exits.
• Address inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors, and teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with crowd management to ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism.
