Job summary

A community healthcare provider in Maryland is seeking a Guest Services Director to improve the lives of residents through compassionate care. The role involves assisting with resident transitions, documenting care, and ensuring effective communication with staff. Qualifications

• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Experience in customer service for at least one year.
• Experience with vulnerable adult populations or equivalent training.
• Specialized training or experience in geriatric care is desirable.
• Must be able to pass a background test.

Responsibilities

• Assist new residents and families with the transition to the facility.
• Document required care and respond to residents' needs.
• Communicate with nurses and aides about residents' needs.
• Participate in individual and group activities for residents.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Admissions, nursing staff, dietary, activities, and Social Services to assist in the transition of new residents and their families to the facility.
• Chart Document any applicable required care and/or socialization, answer call lights and handle residents’ needs as appropriate within their scope of abilities.
• Communicate appropriately with Nurses and Aides regarding resident’s needs (i.e. medication requests, toileting, dietary needs, and any other requests that require special licensing/certifications to perform).
• Participate in resident individual and group activities.
• Complete other duties as requested by the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a customer service position.
• Experience in working with vulnerable adult population or equivalent.
• Specialized training or experience in geriatric care or gerontology is desirable.
• Must have High school Diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a background test.
