Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Guest Services Ambassador at the Land O Lakes Health Hub to welcomed and assist patients, visitors and staff, creating a positive experience across health-related and retail services.

In this PRN role, you will act as the liaison for assigned services, assist with reception, registration and scheduling, and help patients navigate the facility with empathy and professionalism. 1 year of hospitality or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the guests' liaison to all assigned services.
• Ensure a positive experience for patients, clients, patrons or visitors.
• Advocate for patients and communicate with patients, visitors, leaders, staff, and physicians.
• Address and resolve issues, escalating to facility leaders when needed.
• Operate reception, registration, scheduling, financial counseling, and insurance verification systems.
• Achieve proficiency in waiting room management and service-line registration within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Function as the guests' liaison to all assigned services.
• Hospitality-focused and critical to ensuring that each patient, client, patron or visitor is able to enjoy a positive experience and have their personal needs met while taking advantage of the variety of health-related and retail services offered by the facility.
• Act as an advocate for the patient and must communicate effectively with patients, visitors, health system leaders, staff, medical office personnel and referring physicians.
• Address and resolve issues, recognizing those requiring escalation to facility leaders and/or manager.
• May or may not require performing all job specific functions listed within this description.
• Possess advanced computer skills and be proficient in all of the following modalities/computer applications as appropriate: reception, registration, scheduling, financial counseling, insurance verification, waiting room management, and document management.
• Be proficient within 6 months of hire in waiting room management system and registration and scheduling of one service-line.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent
• Associate's degree
