Job summary

Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey, CA seeks a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests and ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs.

You will respond to inquiries, offer local recommendations, and work with other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences. The role requires evenings, weekends, and holidays with cash handling and PMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in computer systems and hotel property management software.
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service, creating a positive first impression for guests
• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Assist guests with recommendations and information about local attractions, dining options, and hotel amenities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
