Job Title: Guest Service Representative (GSR) | Reports to: Guest Services Manager

As a Guest Service Representative, you will play a key role in ensuring guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience. Your responsibilities include assisting at the front desk, answering questions, and leading a team. Your friendly and efficient service will make a difference.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Helpful Service: Offer excellent guest service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Lead by Example: Reinforce company culture, uphold service standards, and guide Guest Service team members (Service Desk, Cashiers, Baggers, and Cart Runners).
  • Utilize Leadership Tools: Use tools such as ten tile evaluations, Coach’s Reminder Card, Cashier Daily, Reference Information Binders, and the Guest Service OPPS Manual.
  • Oversee Operations: Monitor guest service activities, ensure team compliance, and maintain cleanliness and functionality of the department.
  • Support: Direct guests, manage checkout lines, and assist the Guest Service team as needed.
  • Monitor & Adjust: Manage staff schedules, adapt operations based on business needs, and ensure compliance with labor laws for minor employees.
  • Maintain Staffing Levels: Manage coverage proactively by calling in additional staff when needed.
  • Enforce Labor Laws: Schedule minor employees appropriately for breaks and clock-outs, adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Optimize Scheduling: Adjust daily schedules based on sales and guest traffic to ensure productivity.
  • Communicate with Shift Managers: Notify managers when assistance is needed, especially at checkout lanes.
  • Manage Lane Flow: Open additional checkout lanes during busy periods and keep cash drawers available.
  • Track Attendance: Use the GSR Shift Report for documenting lateness or absences.
  • Cart Management: Ensure sufficient carts are available through monitoring and efficient processes.
  • Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences.
  • Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to handle merchandise, fixtures, and perform all essential functions.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Schedule:

This full-time position may require mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to individual availability.
