Job Description

The Guest Services Representative at Hampton Inn & Suites Ottawa is responsible for providing world-class service to all guests. The Operations Manager will train and supervise the front desk team to ensure superior customer service and high guest satisfaction. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, and strong customer service skills are required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting guests during check-in and check-out, ensuring satisfaction and accurate billing.
• Handling cash transactions, maintaining records, and processing reservations.
• Addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and promoting hotel services.
• Operating telephone systems and managing internal calls, wake-up calls, and messages.
• Maintaining communication with other shifts through the front desk log book.
• Performing cashier duties and attending to market needs as required.
• Adhering to safety and security protocols, including writing incident reports when needed.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and assisting guests and team members as required.
• Using office equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing/walking for long periods.
• Performing bending, twisting, reaching, and pushing as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Previous customer service or hotel experience required; Hilton experience is helpful.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software preferred.
