Job Description for Front Desk Agent at Kana Hotel Group

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests and perform check-in/out procedures
  2. Follow all cash and credit card procedures according to hotel and brand standards
  3. Check house count for room availability
  4. Review credit limit exception reports and obtain additional approval if needed
  5. Manage expected departures, checkouts, and stay extensions
  6. Update housekeeping on room status
  7. Balance departmental activities daily
  8. Perform cashier shift change when cash balances
  9. Explain hotel promotions and amenities to guests
  10. Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints, offering alternatives when necessary
  11. Demonstrate hospitality and guest service commitment
  12. Document guest accidents appropriately
  13. Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year of hospitality experience
  • Customer service experience required
  • Experience with cash and credit procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hotel amenities, layout, and procedures
  • Knowledge of local area, including major roads, businesses, and attractions
