Job summary

McAlister’s Deli is seeking a Restaurant Team Member in Michigan for a part-time, hourly role. You will greet guests, take orders, handle cash, and deliver meals while ensuring cleanliness and adherence to service standards.

The job requires at least 1 year in casual dining, being 16 or older, and strong communication with customers and team members. Team members must be flexible with hours, capable of standing most of the shift, and willing to travel to the assigned location if needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a casual restaurant dining
• 16 years of age or older
• Ability to be self-reliant. Execute assigned duties and responsibility from upper management staff
• Able to speak, read, and write effectively.
• Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with management, corporate staff, restaurant employees, and customers

Responsibilities

• Prepare certain food items.
• Greet guests and take orders accurately in a friendly manner.
• Know the menu items and ingredients; follow step-by-step service procedures.
• Maintain accurate cash control and deliver orders to guests.
• Ensure dining room cleanliness and high service quality.
• Direct orders to dining room, curbside and pickup areas in an orderly way.
• Assist stations that are falling behind without neglecting other duties.
• Fill drink orders and follow customer service procedures.
• Prepare menu items quickly and according to specks; maintain product quality.
