Job summary

LOCAL Public Eatery in Seattle is seeking a Service Assistant to support the team in delivering memorable dining experiences. You’ll jump into bar backing, clearing tables, seating guests, and delivering food and drink as needed, acting as a jack of all trades.

No experience necessary, but you must be eager to learn, stay proactive in a fast-paced setting, and obtain local Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits. You may lift up to 50 lbs and join a team that values warmth and care.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, but eagerness to learn is essential.
• Ability to connect with guests and work well in a team.
• Willingness to grow and take on new tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain valid local/state Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits.
• Walk/stand for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly, attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist servers and maintain a pristine dining environment.
• Clear and reset tables promptly and monitor beverage/food delivery.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness, bussing glassware, dishes and cutlery.
• Address guest concerns with urgency and professional judgment.
• Complete opening/closing duties and stock service stations.
• Assist with front door duties and guest seating as needed.
• Enforce age verification for alcohol following state law.
