Job summary

Giri Hotels seeks a friendly Guest Service Agent for Hotel Ivy Boston Common to deliver outstanding guest service at check-in and throughout the stay. You will handle registrations, reservations, and provide local information to guests.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of related hospitality or customer service experience.
• Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location.
• Part-time, 15-20 hours per week; shifts include Morning, Afternoon, Evening; weekends/holidays.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Willingness to learn new technology platforms.
• Ability to stand at front desk for long periods.
• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited.
• Ability to work independently.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in a fast-paced environment.
• Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities.
• Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner.
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests.
• Work with other staff members to ensure all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate special requests.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
• Perform duties as outlined in training procedures, following SOPs.
• Assist with other departments when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
