Guest Service Agent - DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center (Finance)

The DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center is seeking to hire a Guest Service Agent to join our team! This new property is located in downtown Abilene, near the convention center, featuring 200 guest rooms, 23,000 sq ft of banquet space, and multiple food and beverage outlets, including 2 restaurants, a marketplace, and in-room dining.

The Guest Service Agent will be responsible for greeting, registering, and checking out guests, ensuring outstanding guest service and contributing to the hotel's profitability.

Shift: Various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Pay rate: $15.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Greet and register guests, including inputting and retrieving information, confirming details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, and providing welcome packets.
• Assist with check-out, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, and managing foreign currency exchange.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, promotions, and local area information to answer guest inquiries.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues effectively.
• Handle guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for satisfaction.
• Manage messages and communication for guests.
