Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality Management is seeking a Guest Service Agent to warmly greet guests, check them in and out, and provide attentive front desk service in a part-time capacity. You’ll interact with guests to ensure a welcoming first impression and accurate information.

Responsibilities include answering phones, handling guest requests, maintaining records, assisting with breakfast service, and supporting daily hotel operations while upholding privacy and security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
• Friendly, positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor under pressure and when handling guest concerns.
• Ability to handle confidential guest information with integrity.
• Cash handling and basic computer skills required.

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Check guests in and out and assign rooms.
• Answer phones, route calls, and take guest messages accurately.
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly.
• Maintain guest information with confidentiality and integrity.
• Keep cash and transaction records accurate.
• Complete front desk paperwork, logs, and reports.
• Perform property walks and maintain a clean lobby and public areas.
• Assist with breakfast service and keep areas clean and stocked.
• Provide wake-up calls and help guests with special requests.
• Communicate important guest and property information to the team.
• Support hotel sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
• Assist with laundry and other hotel operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Previous customer service experience preferred; hospitality experience is a plus.
• A friendly, positive attitude and genuine desire to help others.

• Ability to remain professional and calm when handling guest concerns.
• Ability to handle confidential guest information with integrity.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
