Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US.
• Must be currently employed with the St. Louis, Missouri Police Department.
• Depending on location, a valid Driver's License may be required.
• Must be willing to submit to a drug test, background investigation and MVR/Driving Record check as part of the selection process.
• Must be able to navigate through parking lot(s) or garages and interact with customers/employees/visitors in a timely manner.
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to work outdoors at times exposed to weather elements to perform security duties.
• Must possess hearing and vision faculties sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Strong problem solving skills: ability to think clearly and act quickly in emergencies while providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to operate and communicate clearly and concisely to facilitate interactions with coworkers, superiors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitors physical surroundings throughout location for safety and functionality.
• Responds quickly and courteously to patrons' needs, questions, comments or concerns with answers and/or action.
• During special events, manages crowd/traffic control and ensures the facility is cleared out at event's end.
• In cases of emergency, actively assists in safeguarding patrons and follows escalation procedures as necessary.
