Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Room Inspector to join our leadership team. You will supervise daily room cleaning and public areas, ensuring the quality assurance program is followed and coordinating staffing with the Executive Housekeeper to maintain guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to train new staff while upholding brand standards across our hotels.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
• Ability to read in English and print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.
• Strong Attention to Detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities and staffing to clean guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspects guest rooms and outlets to ensure QA standards are met.
• Assists Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper with assignments.
• Prepares weekly inventory and reports discrepancies.
• Manages supplies and creates purchase orders as needed.
• Keeps Housekeeping Management informed of department information.
• Assists in training new housekeeping staff.
• Completes daily housekeeping reports.
• Follows up on maintenance requests for rooms and equipment.
• Promotes a safe work environment and adheres to safety policies.
• Performs cleaning duties on slower days or staff shortages.
• Maintains brand standards and cleanliness for guest rooms.
