Job summary

Onni in Seattle seeks a Room Inspector to ensure guest rooms are inspected for cleanliness, stocked for arrivals, and compliant with hotel standards. You will also assist in training Room and House Attendants and perform House Attendant duties as needed.

The role emphasizes meticulousness, strong communication with guests and staff, and safe handling of supplies. Candidates should read/write English, be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate basic English.
• Solid knowledge of all duties related to the housekeeping department.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word and room management systems.
• Willingness to learn safety materials and company training.
• Able to work cohesively with a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspects all rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
• Records inspection results and updates room status after inspection.
• Ensures proper use of inventory and supplies.
• Reports missing, damaged, or maintenance issues in rooms immediately.
• Resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Communicates guest issues and feedback to management for action.
• Coordinates and assigns responsibilities to Housekeeping staff in the manager's absence.
• Assists in training new housekeeping staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
