Job summary

Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs is seeking a housekeeping professional to uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest room quality on a fast-paced property. You will lead housekeeping activities, ensure SOP compliance, and collaborate with Engineering and other departments to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hotel housekeeping experience, strong leadership, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload while staying highly organized and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• One to two years of hotel housekeeping or related experience required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Housekeeping/Laundry/Hotel department policies and procedures.
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize work load.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and quality, ensuring property standards are met or exceeded.
• Ensure all areas (rooms, linens, service landings, guest landings, vending areas, stairwells, elevator, carts, equipment) are set up to SOP standards.
• Report deficiencies to Engineering, prepare maintenance/work orders, and follow up on completion.
• Communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks.
• Verify inventory and delivery of purchases and floor stock.
• Assist management with coaching, action plans, or additional training as needed.
