Guest Room Attendant

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. They are also responsible for maintaining Ameristar Casino Resort Hotel's standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel tower. Starting pay from $17.00.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver exceptional guest service by exhibiting a friendly and approachable demeanor, being polite and courteous, and proactively assisting guests and team members. Be responsive to their needs and questions.
2. Clean hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, team member areas, and storage areas efficiently and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Maintain and clean all equipment used during a shift, following established procedures.
4. Document all duties performed during a shift and report safety hazards or maintenance issues.
5. Follow all security and safety measures.
6. Greet guests courteously throughout the shift with proper salutation and a pleasant expression.
7. Perform duties quietly and in an orderly manner.
8. Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests.
9. Report room and hall deficiencies to PBX/Supervisor and follow up on their resolution.
10. Provide accurate information about the property, events, and promotions.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to inspect and maintain assigned areas.
• Proficiency in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, supplies, and safety equipment.
• Effective and efficient movement around the work area.
• Ability to clean at an acceptable performance rate.
• Basic communication skills in English; if unable to speak or understand English, prior experience as a maid is required.
• Must pass a background check and alcohol/drug screening.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
