JOB DESCRIPTION

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining and cleaning guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests. They will also keep the Public Areas clean and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Work independently and follow instructions regarding task priorities.
2. Ensure key security by adhering to proper checkout procedures.
3. Change bed linens and make beds to standards.
4. Sanitize and clean restrooms, dust all surfaces, clean mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
5. Vacuum carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.

1. Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and remove trash to disposal areas.
2. Sweep, scrub, and mop all areas; dust and polish furniture and equipment.
3. Replenish supplies such as glasses, linens, stationery, and bathroom amenities.

1. Maintain linen closets organized and stocked.
2. Complete daily housekeeping reports as required.
3. Follow safety and security procedures, including handling cleaning chemicals.
4. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure guest satisfaction.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GUEST SATISFACTION

1. Maintain a professional appearance and proper uniform.
2. Greet guests politely and acknowledge them in passing.
3. Assist guests and team members in a friendly manner.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

1. Report suspicious activity of guests, visitors, or staff.
2. Maintain security by keeping room doors locked.
3. Follow all safety and security policies.
4. Adhere to OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Continuous grasping required.
2. Lifting supplies up to 40 lbs occasionally.
3. Stand and walk during shifts; sitting is limited.
4. Reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, crouching, and kneeling are required.
5. Good vision is necessary.

SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, AND EXPERIENCE

1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
2. Previous customer service or hotel experience; Hilton experience is a plus.
3. Friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills.
4. Organizational and prioritization skills.
5. Basic computer skills preferred.
