Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group operates Carlos O’Kelly’s and is seeking a friendly server to create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced dining room in Marion, Iowa. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, deliver food and drinks, and ensure guests have attentive service throughout their visit.

Role emphasizes teamwork, mobility, basic math skills, and the ability to upsell and advise on menu options while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• A positive attitude.
• Ability to wipe down table tops, legs, and booth seats across all areas of the restaurant.
• Transports plates, glasses and baskets to dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports glass racks up to 25 pounds up to 15 times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drinks and ongoing service to guests.
• Greet guests, answer questions and make recommendations regarding food, drinks, and service.
• Interact with all guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the state-of-the-art tablet-based POS system.
• Observe and serve guests, responding to any needs or requests.
• Present guest checks to each table.
• Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables.
