Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a Server in our Restaurant department in Billings, MT. This hourly, full-time role focuses on delivering a welcoming dining experience, guiding guests through the menu, and executing orders with accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

You will balance friendly service with speed, maintain a clean service area, and collaborate with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to safety and alcohol-service policies.

Qualifications

• Prior server or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Clear English communication, verbal and written.
• Basic math, cash handling and POS operation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Team player with willingness to assist colleagues.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift and carry trays.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety or willingness to complete training.
• Minimum age per local laws, especially for alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly, present menus, and explain daily specials.
• Take orders accurately and enter into POS system promptly.
• Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations, including allergens.
• Serve food and drinks with correct presentation and timing.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address requests.
• Handle payments and issue receipts accurately.
• Keep dining area clean, stocked, and organized.
• Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side work as assigned.
