Garnet Hotels is hiring energetic Servers for Applebee’s at our dual-brand Marriott property in Matteson, Illinois. You will provide friendly, attentive table service and uphold Applebee’s hospitality standards within a fast-paced hotel complex.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic cash-handling and POS-system skills.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• BASSET certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Applebee’s, Marriott, hotel, or full-service restaurant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Provide attentive and personalized table service.
• Maintain knowledge of food, beverages, specials, and promotions.
• Recommend menu items, beverages, and desserts.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for timely service.
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs.
• Perform check-backs and promptly address concerns.
• Process guest checks and payments accurately.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked service stations.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements.
• Assist fellow associates during busy service periods.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
