Job summary

ShopRite of East Hartford is seeking a Food Service Associate to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and assist the Food Service Manager in daily operations. You will maintain a neat, safe department with attention to quality and temperature control.

Responsibilities include preparing salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees, stocking and rotating products, and using standard equipment. This role requires teamwork, physical stamina, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Willingness to learn food safety and QA standards.
• Strong customer-service and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare products (salads, sandwiches, pizza, entrees) per recipes.
• Maintain clean, organized Food Service area and proper temps.
• Operate equipment and report any issues per policy.
• Stock, rotate, and display products; adhere to safety rules.
