Job summary

ShopRite of Flemington in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers, assist the Food Service Manager in daily operations, and help maintain a neat and safe department.

You will prepare products, ensure proper temperatures, stock shelves, and follow safety guidelines to provide high-quality service and value to shoppers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo’s, power jacks, and slicing machines.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift 25–60 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Assist in the daily operation of the Food Service department.
• Prepare products such as salads, sandwiches, chicken, pizza and pasta.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and displays.
• Follow approved procedures for receiving, storing, and rotating products.
• Adhere to company policies, safety, and QA standards.
