• Gain knowledge of department products and respond with suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections per recipe and standards; tender transactions per company practices.
• Offer samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customers' needs.
• Use equipment in the coffee shop per guidelines; prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Use kitchen equipment including espresso machine, blender, scale and steamer.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Reinforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions; notify management.
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents; report safety risks or illegal activity.
• Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a calm, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
