Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions and make suggestions
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and process transactions correctly
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs
• Use coffee shop equipment correctly and handle staff areas
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report repairs
• Report accidents and safety risks to management
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments
• Manage conflicts in a professional manner
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
