• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions across the store.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions, making product suggestions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards using proper equipment; process transactions per policy.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide freshly prepared items in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Operate coffee shop equipment per guidelines; prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and freshness; monitor sell-by dates.
• Operate kitchen equipment including espresso machine, blender, and steamer.
• Label and stock department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming ads.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions; comply with food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflict constructively.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Interact respectfully with customers of all ages and needs.
