Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and department/store.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections per recipe and standards; handle transactions per company guidelines.
• Offer samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Operate coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Use espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer; label and stock items.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow safety procedures and food safety regulations; identify and report hazards.
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Report accidents and safety risks to management.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Assist and interact with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
