Job summary

MHG Hotels LLC seeks a friendly Hotel Houseman to help ensure guests enjoy a clean, comfortable stay. You will support housekeeping and maintenance tasks, greet guests warmly, respond to requests, and help set up rooms and public areas with attention to detail.

This role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and reliability; you will work with multiple departments, maintain cleaning carts, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met across all areas of the property.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move, bend, and lift regularly as part of daily duties.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance.
• Move, lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and coordinate with other departments.
• Identify and report maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Set up furniture in guest rooms as requested.
• Retrieve items, stock cleaning carts, and maintain storerooms in a clean, organized fashion.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, fixtures and restrooms to high standards.
• Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas; manage cleaning equipment.
• Replace towels and amenities and restock literature as needed.
• Vacuum rooms and public areas and operate vacuums up to 25 lbs; move heavy furniture when required.
• Inspect room equipment and report status to the Executive Housekeeper for repairs.
• Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies.
