Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott in Box Elder, SD is hiring for a front desk associate. Responsibilities include checking guests in/out, issuing keys, answering inquiries about hotel services and local entertainment, and handling transportation arrangements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management system(s).
• Ability to quickly learn front desk procedures (check-in, check-out, selling skills, etc.).
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Make room reservations and check guests in and out.
• Issue keys, pamphlets, discount cards, etc.
• Provide information to guests about hotel and services.
• Maintain confidentiality, security and safety of guests.
• Arrange transportation for guests.
• Compute bills, post charges, and process payments.
• Run various reports, both handwritten and computer.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of front desk and lobby.
• Wear a uniform and nametag at all times.
• Other duties as needed.
