Curaleaf in Groton, CT is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to be the face of our brand and to deliver exceptional service to customers exploring cannabis products.

You will assist guests, process transactions, upsell thoughtfully, and help maintain a welcoming, compliant store environment while meeting daily sales goals. This role supports community outreach and brand loyalty initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of customer-facing or sales experience.
• At least 6 months of experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with customers and team members.
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to technology.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Effective de-escalation and problem-solving approaches.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Build genuine connections and offer personalized product advice.
• Address concerns professionally and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs.
• Open/close the store, handle cash, and follow procedures and regulations.
• Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and stocked; assist with inventory tasks.
• Meet daily sales goals by upselling and leveraging product knowledge.
