Job summary

Commonwealth Lodging Management LLC is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server for Courtyard by Marriott Oxford, MS. You will be the main guest contact in the dining area, delivering prompt, courteous service and upselling menu items.

Maintain high cleanliness and accuracy in order taking, payments, and guest interactions. Responsibilities include using POS systems, presenting menus, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service preferred.
• Experience in liquor, wine and food service preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred.
• Minimum age 21 to serve alcohol.
• Good understanding of the English language.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to tables with a welcoming manner.
• Take orders and upsell menu items when appropriate.
• Process payments using POS systems and handle checks.
• Maintain clean and organized dining area.
• Provide information on daily specials and menu items.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service from arrival to departure.
