Job summary

Global Gourmet Catering seeks an enthusiastic restaurant server to deliver exceptional guest experiences at Prelude or Northbox in War memorial. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure timely service while maintaining a neat dining area.

Responsibilities include upselling menu items, handling POS transactions, and supporting setup/closing duties. A minimum of 1 year in hospitality is preferred, with a Food Handler Certification required or obtainable before starting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience, restaurant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Must have regular email for scheduling.
• Friendly, professional and outgoing demeanor with guests, coworkers and management.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to needs.
• Stand/walk for extended periods (8–12 hours) and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Able to go up and down stairs and carry heavy trays safely.
• Reliable transportation and Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain before starting).

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Take accurate orders and enter into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and clear tables.
• Assist in running food and provide tableside beverage service.
• Recommend menu items and answer guest questions about dishes.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, specials, and dietary options.
• Assist with setup and closing duties, and ensure cleanliness of dining areas.
• Process payments accurately via POS including cash, cards and tips.
• Support team with opening/closing duties and safety standards.
