Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking an energetic server to delight guests by providing food and beverages with care and efficiency. You will greet guests, describe menu options, and take orders with accuracy using the POS system, while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good attitude toward teamwork.
Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative.
Confident, outgoing demeanor.
Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment.
Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested.
Take guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule.
Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system.
Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable.
Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS.
Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience.
