Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group is seeking a team-oriented server to deliver memorable dining experiences at our Huntington Beach property. The role emphasizes guest service, menu knowledge, and accurate order handling in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of food service experience, knowledge of food and beverage preparation, and excellent communication skills to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hotel service standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs, suggesting courses, explaining chef's specialties, and recommending wines and questions answered.
• Enters orders to POS system and records guests’ choices, special dietary needs and requests.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Processes guest payments accurately and balances to sales report.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work areas and keeps area stocked.
• Prepares room for dining by setting tables, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.
• Follows standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS and health department guidelines.
• Wears non-slip, oil-resistant shoes and complies with PPE and safety policies.
• Reports unsafe conditions or maintenance needs and handles emergencies per policy.
• Notifies management of unusual events, missing items or alleged theft.
• Ensures minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages.
