Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Lincoln, CA is seeking a server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver a high-quality dining experience. You will greet guests with a smile, communicate menu details, and ensure accuracy of each bill while maintaining a fast-paced but friendly service style.

Responsibilities include upselling items, handling payments, keeping tables clean, and collaborating with kitchen and bussing staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• California Food Handler Card (Required prior to first shift)
• Responsible Beverage Services (RBS) Certification (Required prior to orientation/hire date)
• Pass our server test of required knowledge and competencies
• Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Multi-task oriented
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and welcome them to the restaurant.
• Accurately bill each customer and apply discounts.
• Handle customer payments and reconcile cash and receipts.
• Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
• Upsell OTP merchandise and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, floors, bathrooms, and dining area.
• Assist team with side duties and restocking as needed.
• Follow opening/closing tasks and safety procedures.
