Job summary

Cineplex is seeking a server or server assistant to provide high-quality guest service and efficient dining experiences. You will take orders, maintain knowledge of menu items, and ensure accurate billing while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 1-3 years of restaurant service experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a provincially compliant alcohol certificate. This on-site role offers a friendly team environment and opportunities for growth within Cineplex

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of restaurant service experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse environment.
A professional appearance and positive team attitude.
Provincially applicable alcohol sale/handling certificate.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders from guests and relay to kitchen/bar staff.
Maintain familiarity with menu items and daily specials.
Serve food and beverages in a courteous, professional manner.
Assist with cleaning and setup of tables and dining areas.
Ensure guests are correctly charged and present/check out the bill as per procedures.
Attend to guest complaints and ensure a positive dining experience.
Follow health, safety and liquor service guidelines.
