Job summary

Valor is seeking a courteous Food & Beverage Team member to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for guests by taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and welcoming restaurant environment. The role requires a TIPs certification, basic English proficiency, and 3–6 months in food service.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
• Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks and observe the restaurant.
• Must be TIPs certified.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side-work.
• Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen service area.
• Control guest checks and document information as orders are taken and processed.
• Receive proper payment and ensure accuracy of guest checks and payment method.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communications and knowledge of products and service.
• Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor; handle diverse customer service situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
