Job summary

The Rustic in Houston is seeking a friendly server to be the face of our restaurant and ensure guests have an excellent experience. You’ll present menus, take orders, and serve food and drinks in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should be quick on their feet, patient, and communicative, with a positive attitude. Tip-sharing and sanitation are important, and knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Clear communication with guests and team members.

• Experience or willingness to share tips in a team-driven setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with attention to sanitation and order
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age, if necessary
• Issue bills and accept payment
