Job summary

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is seeking a customer-focused team member to greet guests, operate the POS system, and support store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The role emphasizes compliance with age verification and responsible service of alcohol.

You will promote a wide selection of wines, spirits, beers, and cigars, assist with merchandising, restocking, and gift services, and help drive sales to meet store goals while maintaining a clean, safe store.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand.
• No prior retail experience required; customer-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet each guest and provide prompt, friendly, and engaging service throughout their visit.
• Operate POS and handle transactions, discounts or promotions, rewards accounts, age verification, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain Responsible Vendor status and verify IDs for age verification at POS and tasting tables.
• Promote ABC's wine, spirits, beer, and cigars, including Sourced & Certified products.
• Assist with merchandising, restocking, and visual presentation of products on shelves and in beer coolers.
• Increase sales and product performance to meet store goals.
• Receive, unload, and validate invoices; organize and stock store deliveries.
• Keep store, stockroom, and guest areas clean and organized.
• Provide gift wrapping and carryout service; assemble gift baskets when needed.
• Stay current on training, policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and informed guest experience.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Store Leadership.
