Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is seeking a friendly Food Runner/Busser to bridge the dining room and kitchen. You will help create a smooth, high-energy dining experience and enjoy interaction with guests in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes hospitality, clear communication, and teamwork, with duties ranging from greeting guests to supporting the front-of-house and kitchen teams. Flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required, but preferred.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay energetic in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable around grills and hot cooking surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Listen attentively to guests to ensure their needs are met.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Support the front-of-house team in resetting tables quickly to seamlessly transition tables to guests.
• Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the kitchen staff and management regarding allergy orders.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
• Multi-task and balance between bar and dining room orders.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
