Sally’s Apizza in East Norwalk, CT is seeking a Food Runner / Busser to help deliver an amazing dining experience by serving food promptly and professionally.

You will pull and arrange tables, clear and reset surfaces, ensure orders are matched to plates, greet guests, and support front‑of‑house duties while upholding sanitation standards. Hourly wage is $16–$20 with tip credit, weekly pay, and benefits for full‑time team members.

Qualifications

• Language: English; Basic Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Strong customer service skills; prior running/bussing experience a plus.
• Attention to detail: responsibility, thoroughness, and carefulness.
• Organizational awareness: using knowledge of systems to identify potential problems.
• Oral communication: shaping and expressing ideas effectively.
• Integrity: upholding generally accepted social and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service at all times by following Sally’s Steps of Service.
• Pull and arrange tables and chairs for guests as needed.
• Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset throughout service.
• Ensure plated food and pies leave the kitchen quickly.
• Carefully match food items to the correct orders.
• Greet each table and serve, using the correct seat positions on the ticket.
• Maintain attention to the flow of traffic in all dining areas.
• Perform ongoing cleaning of workstations.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
• Perform restroom checks throughout service.
• Support front‑of‑house in other duties as needed.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Stay focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Complete any side work assigned in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
