Job summary

The Barnes Hotel in San Francisco seeks a Director of Rooms to lead daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and financial performance. You will oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and other departments while upholding brand standards.

Lead improvements in guest satisfaction, mentor managers, and manage labor costs and safety compliance. This role requires strategic vision and strong collaboration across teams in a full-service hotel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of hotel management experience.
• Previous leadership experience in Front Office, Rooms Division, or Hotel Operations required.
• Experience in a full-service or lifestyle hotel preferred.
• Equivalent hotel management experience may be substituted for education.
• Proficiency with hotel PMS systems (Opera, OnQ, or similar).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with labor management and scheduling software.
• Experience with guest satisfaction and reputation management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct daily hotel operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Lead guest experience initiatives and monitor feedback across platforms.
• Recruit, train, and develop department managers and supervisors.
• Monitor labor costs and productivity benchmarks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
