Job summary

Main & Vine in Cincinnati is seeking a Restaurant Server to ensure guests have an outstanding dining experience from arrival to departure. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar while maintaining a polished, fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, wine service, and maintaining front-of-house cleanliness. Previous F&B experience and food safety certification are valued for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior food and beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance required.
• Proper food safety training and certification as required by law.
• Experience with computers (MS Office/Google), POS systems (Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (OpenTable).

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service, laying out napkins and utensils, ensuring condiments are refilled.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices, specialties and deviations.
• Handle table assignments and seating; suggest menu items; communicate needs to cooks.
