Job summary

Courtyard Tampa - Brandon is seeking an energetic maintenance engineer to ensure guest comfort and safety. You will manage daily maintenance and preventative programs, coordinate with technicians, and help keep our property in optimal condition.

The ideal candidate communicates well, works as part of a team, and enjoys engaging with guests. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 lbs; experience with facilities software is a plus.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required
• Driver’s license and outstanding driving record is necessary
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary
• Experience with facilities management software is preferred
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks
• Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
• Work with a variety of tools hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade
• Stay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departments
• Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria
